Day 1: Arrive to Tanzania
After arriving at the Kilimanjaro Airport, relax while going to the hotel. Accommodations are situated on the slope of Mount Meru. Enjoy dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 – 4: Experience Katavi National Park
Today we will fly to Katavi National Park. There will be 2 half-day game drives on each full day, and dinner at the lodge in the evening.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 5: Serengeti
After breakfast we will head to the airport to fly to Serengeti National Park. There will be an afternoon game drive at Serengeti National Park as well, though feel free to relax at the lodge if you’re tired after the eclipse!
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 6: Full day Serengeti
Start with breakfast at the lodge, then enjoy full morning and afternoon game drives in the park, while seeing some amazing wildlife along the way.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 7: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Breakfast at the lodge will be followed by a morning game drive in the Serengeti. Stop at a Maasai Village to learn about their culture and how it is being preserved.
Then proceed to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. Stop on the crater rim to enjoy one of the most memorable picnic lunches in your life before descending to the crater floor for a crater tour game drive. Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 8: Experience Lake Natron
After breakfast, drive to Lake Natron which is a highly alkaline lake (also known as a “soda lake”). The lake is an important breeding ground for flamingos. This walking tour will be followed by a game drive. Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 9: Hike at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro
Head to Mount Kilimanjaro for a several hour walking tour at the base of this unique mountain as we see it from the bottom! Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 10: Fly to Zanzibar Island
After breakfast, head to Arusha Airport to fly to magnificent Zanzibar Island! Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 11 & 12: Enjoy Zanzibar
Spend a relaxing day at the beach, or enjoy one of many optional activities.
Day 13: Finish tour
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before returning to the Zanzibar.
